Russian R&D company PROFOTECH designs and manufactures Low-power instrument transformers (LPIT) based on Faraday effect.

The product line includes fiber-optic instrument transformers for current measurement and electronic voltage transformers that enable solutions for Power generation companies, Transmission system operators (TSO), Distribution network operators (DSO), Energy-intensive industries (Metallurgy/Chemistry), HV Testing laboratories, and Tokamaks.

PROFOTECH technologies allow to significantly increase the accuracy of measurements and move to a qualitatively new level of measurements using only digital signal processing. All the company’s products are included in the State Register of Measuring Instruments and have passed pilot tests at international energy and energy-intensive production facilities.

Products: Fiber-optic instrument current transformers (up to 11000 kA for DC) and electronic voltage transformers for medium and high voltages (up to 750 kV).

Purpose: high-precision measurements with the formation of data in digital format according to IEC 61850-9-2 LE for usage by secondary equipment (commercial metering, relay protection, automation, etc.).
